The ISN is pleased to announce three winners of complimentary registrations to the upcoming 38th Vicenza Course on acute kidney injury (AKI) and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).

Selected by the ISN Young Nephrologists Committee, the ISN congratulates the following winners:

  • Kristiane Rachel P Medina (Philippines)
  • Fong Voon Ken (Malaysia)
  • Enzo Christopher Vasquez Jimenes (Mexico)

The Vicenza Course, postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will now take place in a fully virtual format from November 2-6, 2020. The course will be spread over five days in a series of sessions lasting 3-4 hours per day.

The webinars will address current understanding of Critical Care Nephrology covering two main topics:

  • Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), including action strategies in different settings such as cardiac surgery, intensive care unit, cardiology, nephrology and sepsis; and
  • Continuous Renal Replacement Therapies (CRRT), including new sorbents, membranes, machines, therapies, new treatment strategies, and recent trials in the field.

There will also be a section dedicated to the SARS-Cov-2 pandemic and its impact on intensive care and nephrology.

Recordings containing a selection of the material presented at the course will be accessible for one month after the event to participants, enabling those who could not be present at the sessions to follow the course off-line.
