Objective

The aims of this project are:

  • To provide a high level overview of the current state of kidney care (CKD and AKI) and how it is organized and structured around the world
  • To outline a  comparative analysis and data synthesis of the trends in the burden of CKD and its attendant consequences across all world regions

Deliverables/Publication

The following results publications and presentations are to be expected in the course of 2016-2017:

  • To outline a  comparative analysis and data synthesis of the trends in the burden of CKD and its attendant consequences across all world regions
  • Lay report: comprehensive report tailored to policymakers and non-academic audiences such as patients, media and allied health professionals to interpret the key report concepts and understand study results
  • Scientific publication: peer-reviewed publication for a leading health sciences journal (Lancet, Kidney International)
  • Presentations at the WCN Mexico (2017) and major regional society meetings.
