ISN Academy Call for Proposals

The ISN Education Working Group is seeking innovative online educational models that will benefit professionals engaged with kidney disease around the world.

ISN members are invited to develop E-Learning Programs and E-Curriculum to be part of the ISN Academy. Please take the time to review the below criteria, complete the application by no later than March 1st 2019. For any queries, please contact Piero Segantini at education@theisn.org

Submissions in all areas relevant to nephrology education will be considered including those designed for allied health professionals (Nurses, nutritionists, technologists etc.). 

If needed, reasonable financial support may be considered.

Program Types

ISN is seeking the development of E-Learning Programs and E-Curriculum.

E-Learning Program
Maximum 10 modules, each module composed of an educational activity with self-assessment. Between 5-10 contributors, Program Director(s) (up to 2) and faculty.

Minimum 5 programs, with at least 3 modules each. Each module having an educational activity and self-assessment. Between 5-10 contributors, Program Director(s) (up to 2) and faculty.

Application Process

Use the button below to access the application. All applications must be submitted by March 1st, 2019. Applications will be reviewed by the ISN Education Working Group and those who have been selected for development will be contacted the week of March 18, 2019. Content developers will then be given one month to submit a full program outline with speakers and organizers who have agreed to participate. Program outlines with comments and suggestions from the Education Working Group will be returned to program developers the second week of April.

Selection Process

Applications are selected to ensure the ISN Academy offers comprehensive, objective and diverse content. Applications will be reviewed by the ISN Education Working Group and will use the following criteria:

  • Topic Coverage:  Does the proposed have adequate research and supportive data to be part of the ISN Academy and meet the proposed format?
  • Faculty Knowledge: Does course organizers and presenters have sufficient knowledge, expertise and authority to address their presented material?
  • Content Quality: Does the recorded and provided material meet the criteria and standards of the ISN Academy?
  • Education Value and Innovation: Does the material proposed and produced meet the highest goal of educational standards, is it innovative and provide value to the ISN Academy audience and the greater field of Nephrology?
