The Indukaka Ipcowala Advanced Scholarship Program has been established by the ISN-ANIO India Committee to enable physicians or allied healthcare personnel from India to gain specific skills by practical experience in any field of nephrology, including but not limited to renal pathology, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, kidney transplantation, and dialysis.

Application Procedure

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Application dates for 2019 are still to be determined.

A scholarship applicant must be an ISN member and must identify a Home Mentor (a senior nephrologist and ISN member). He or she will help locate a suitable Host Institution and Mentor (also an ISN member) to establish a strong relationship, match interests, and develop a training plan. Alternatively, they can contact the ISN headquarters to help locate a suitable Host Institution and Mentor. All graduated scholars must agree to submit a report at the end of their scholarship, stating the benefits and outcome of their experience.

Applicants will be notified on the status of their application approximately 3 months after the application deadline.

PROGRAM MATERIAL

Below are links to important information and forms/reports regarding the scholarship process. A completed application form is necessary to initiate the process. Following completion of training, the trainee and Host Mentor are required to submit the End of Training Reports. Once all documents have been received by ISN, the trainee will be issued a certificate and will be referred to as an ISN-ANIO Scholar.

Shri Devangbhai Patel  Mr. Devanbhai R. Patel has generously donated funds to ISN-ANIO to name an endowment in memory of his father-in-law, Shri Indukaka Ipcowala. The ISN-ANIO India Committee implemented the Indukaka Ipcowala Scholarship Program in order to reflect Mr. Devanbhai R. Patel’s important contribution to ISN-ANIO’s mission to support sustainable, high quality programs to improve the quality of healthcare for people with kidney disease in India through research and education.
