Description of the Webinar

Home hemodialysis (HHD) reamins underutilised despite its benefits to patients and providers. Clinical and qualitative outcome benefits are well established. A number of different regimens can be deployed at home depending on clinical, patient choice and physician preferences. All dialysis physicians and practitioners need to gain knowledge and expertise in order to practice HHD therapy with confidence and improve patient outcomes. Key considerations are necessary to ensure success for both young and mature programs.

Senior Consultant Nephrologist at Manchester Royal Infirmary, UK where he leads one of the largest HHD programme. Clinical & research interests in Dialysis Medicine & technology. A number of other positions held, including Chair HD Clinical Research Group (UK Kidney Research Consortium); Renal Innovation Lead at Integrating Medicine & Innovative Technology (MIMIT); Renal Speciality lead GM & Clinical Chair in Renal Technology innovation (NIHR HTC). Received multiple awards in research & innovation since 2012 including winner of the NHS Innovation Challenge & Health Service Top Innovator Award.
