Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he\/she actually spent in the educational activity. The EACCME\u00ae awards ECMEC\u00aes on the basis of 1 ECMEC\u00ae for one hour of CME with a maximum of 8 ECMEC\u00aes per day. Cf. Chapter X of UEMS 2016.20.<\/p>\n
Through an agreement between the Union Europ\u00e9enne des M\u00e9decins Sp\u00e9cialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME\u00ae credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME\u00ae credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org\/education\/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.<\/p>\n
Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME\u00ae for ECMEC\u00aes are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.<\/p>\n
