Do you want to share your expertise with other doctors in the developing world? Are you looking for an expert to help train local doctors in specific areas of nephrology?

CLICK HERE to download the EAP application form. The Asia Pacific Society of Nephrology (APSN) will co-sponsor two visits in 2014. This is of course valid for applications coming from the Asia-Pacific Region.

The Educational Ambassadors Program gives hands-on training and provides ISN members and younger nephrologists with an invaluable opportunity for personal involvement in the Society’s educational programs and ultimately help advance the state of nephrology worldwide.

Centers in the emerging world can request a teacher or an expert to join them onsite and train local doctors in acute and chronic dialysis, renal pathology, Chronic Kidney Disease management in a local setting and to initiate and/or develop community based research and screening programs. The program also offers a matching initiative. In case you do not know an expert, ISN can put you in touch with someone who would fit the job.

ISN Educational Ambassador Shlomo Cohney from Melbourne, Australia visited Khon Kaen hospital in Thailand. He brought with him expertise in transplantation, transplant immunology as well as an established interest in clinical and laboratory research. You can read more about his visit HERE.

Another Ambassador helped start a national kidney registry in Ghana. Find out more, HERE.
