International Summer School of Renal Pathology

We also seek applicants for one to three stipends, €1,000 each, generously supported by the International Summer School of Renal Pathology (ISSRP) (endorsed by the Renal Pathology Society, the International Society of Nephrology, the European Renal Association-European Dialysis and Transplant Association and the Italian Society of Nephrology), to defray part of the cost of attending the ISSRP held in Bari, Italy, from July 20th to July 31st, 2015.

Recipients of this stipend are required to first register for the school, paying full registration fee for this 2 week study. The full registration fee is Euro 3,750.  This fee includes school tuition including practical laboratories, study material, renal pathology text book as handout, transportation to school, boarding and lodging, 2 social dinners, but does NOT include airfare or transportation from airport to hotel and vice versa. A check of €1,000 will be given to the awardee(s) during a social dinner.  For further details of the ISSRP, please visit www.issrp.com.

The purpose of these experience will be to enhance abilities and technical know-how regarding renal biopsies, building on an existing strong fund of knowledge in renal pathology.

The applicant should submit a) curriculum vitae; b) a copy of notification of full payment received for registration to the ISSRP 2015; c) a personal letter from the student requesting the funding with goals for attending the meeting and available funds; d) a letter of recommendation from his/her supervisor or mentor (for trainees only).The International Society of Nephrology – Pathology Committee (Chair – Agnes Fogo) will review and then make the selections.
