Check out the CKD Summit papers in The Lancet and KI Supplements

Following March’s second Global Kidney Health Summit in the United Arab Emirates, the outputs from this meeting are currently being written for publication. In the meantime, here is what came out the first Global Kidney Health Summit held in Canada in 2016.

During the first ISN Global Kidney Health Summit, a selected group of 85 international key opinion leaders and researchers met for two and a half day to set in motion a roadmap for action to change the status of kidney health worldwide, building on current knowledge, research and clinical activities.

All the working group papers stemming from this meeting were published in the October 2017 edition of Kidney International Supplements, along with the protocol for the Global Kidney Health Atlas. Read this special edition HERE.

Under discussion were chronic kidney disease (CKD) issues of global relevance, the interfaces between CKD and acute kidney injury (AKI), and the link between kidney disease and cardiovascular and metabolic disorders.
