0by25 initiative sessions during ASN Kidney Week Featured

0by25 Cover1ISN will have its usual presence at ASN Kidney Week this November. This will be an opportunity to share more information about the 0by25 initiative with the nephrology community in a couple of AKI dedicated sessions.

Audience at the Nanjing Forum August 2012 The next ISN Regional Workshop is taking place in Zhuhai, China on November 19, 2015 from 2 to 4pm, in conjunction with the Annual Conference of the Chinese Society of Nephrology.

20151014 144359 resized 1An ISN-sponsored Pan-Palestine Nephrology and Kidney Transplant Conference was held in Nablus and Gaza City from October 12 to 18, 2015. The meeting was a great opportunity to exchange knowledge but also led to two kidney transplants being carried out on patients from the region.

Susan Quaggin WCN AwardSusan Quaggin, a long standing member of the ISN, has now become the American Society of Nephrology’s newest Councilor. Dr. Quaggin will begin her term during ASN Kidney Week 2015 and will serve through Kidney Week 2022.

ISN Fellow Christopher NigeriaISN Fellow Christopher Obiorah just returned from his training at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, USA. He hopes to improve standards of care and start a renal pathology program in his home country.

Some 15,000 community residents aged between 18 and 75 years old were involved in an epidemiological study across Southern China. Based on a grant from the ISN Clinical Research Program, the project got further political and financial support from China (3 million RMB Yuan) and led to a grant from the European Union Seventh Framework Program.
