Respecting the original location of WCN\u201921 in Montreal, Canada, the livestream ran on Montreal time (EDT).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pre-congress (April 12-15)<\/h3>\n

  • Between April 12-14, ISN collective-member societies joined us in special Raising-the-Curtain<\/strong> sessions, connecting our entire community around the world<\/li>\n
  • Between April 12-14, pre-congress courses<\/strong> were made available with on-demand access*<\/li>\n
  • On April 15, pre-congress courses went live including interactive components, Q&A, case presentations and discussion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Congress (April 16-19)<\/h3>\n

    Each congress day included 6 hours of scheduled chaired sessions with recorded presentations and opportunities for live Q&A with speakers or session chairs, networking, and plenty other activities. While the platform was accessible on a 24-hour basis, the congress livestream ran between 8:00am and 14:00pm EDT, from April 16 to April 19. Acknowledging that it is impossible to reach all around the world at a convenient time for everybody, all sessions were made available for on-demand viewing as soon as possible after the livestream. For those time zones without convenient access to all the live congress content, a Daily Highlight Session<\/strong> featured a special selection of presentations, focusing on one of the congress themes, AKI, CKD and ESKD.<\/p>\n

    • On April 16, the formal Congress Opening<\/strong> included messages of welcome and opening plenary lecture<\/li>\n
    • On April 16, the ISN\u00a0Global Kidney Policy Forum, <\/strong>which is a yearly high-level meeting, brought together key decision-makers and stakeholders to address the burden of kidney disease<\/li>\n
    • Each congress day, renowned Plenary Speakers<\/strong> gave presentations in 60-minute cutting-edge plenaries<\/li>\n
    • A line-up of 150 internationally renowned speakers presented over 45 congress\u00a0scientific sessions<\/strong> on a range of topics, fixed around the main scientific themes of acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and end stage kidney disease. A dedicated session focused on late breaking clinical trials. The congress also featured a series of sessions focusing on COVID-19. Special sessions were organized jointly with international partner societies.<\/li>\n
    • The ISN <\/strong>Community Film Event<\/strong> showed stories through 6 short movies that raise awareness and understanding of the reality of living with kidney disease<\/li>\n
    • The Poster Gallery<\/strong> presents hundreds of abstracts in an interactive manner<\/li>\n
    • Topical Networking Events<\/strong> invite you to engage in direct conversation with participants, <\/strong>hosted on our innovative and interactive networking platform<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
