Several awards and prizes that recognize exceptional contributions to nephrology are acknowledged during the World Congress of Nephrology.
WCN’23 will feature the following ISN Awards:
- Lillian Jean Kaplan International Prize for Advancement in the Understanding of Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) recognizes an individual exhibiting excellence and leadership in PKD clinical or basic research and whose seminal scientific work constitutes tangible achievement toward improving knowledge and treatment of PKD
- Alfred Newton Richards Award for outstanding basic research in fields relevant to nephrology
- Roscoe R. Robinson Award acknowledges outstanding achievements in the field of education in nephrology and medicine
- Pioneer Awards are presented at regional meetings and recognize individuals who have made outstanding and sustained contributions to the establishment and/or development of nephrology in their own country or region
The following APSN awards will be presented:
- Kenzo Oshima Award
- Excellence in Basic Science Award
- Hai-yan Wang Lecture – The Hai-yan Wang Lecture recognizes individuals who have made substantial contributions to the clinical or translational science and development of nephrology service and education in the Asian Pacific region.
