The ISN proudly presents awards and prizes to honor exceptional contributions to kidney care at the World Congress of Nephrology (WCN) and regional events throughout the year.
2027 ISN Awardees – join the celebration
Join us in congratulating the winners of the 2027 ISN and Pioneer Awards:
- Paola Romagnani – the Alfred Newton Richards Award for outstanding basic research in fields relevant to nephrology
- László Rosivall – the Roscoe R. Robinson Award for achievements in the field of education in nephrology and medicine
- Feng Qian – the Lillian Jean Kaplan International Prize for excellence and leadership in clinical or basic research in polycystic kidney disease (PKD)
ISN Pioneer Awards honor doctors who have made extraordinary efforts to advance nephrology in a specific country or region. The 2027 winners, per ISN region, are:
- Africa: Gloria Enow Ashuntantang-Some (Cameroon)
- Eastern and Central Europe: Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu (Türkiye)
- Latin America: Hercilio Alexandre da Luz Filho (Brazil)
- Middle East: Ali Abu-Alfa (Lebanon)
- NIS and Russia: Ashot Sarkissian (Armenia)
- North and East Asia: Chuluuntsetseg Dorj (Mongolia)
- Oceania and South East Asia (OSEA): Abu Bakar Suleiman (Malaysia)
- South Asia: Devinder Singh Rana (India)
