Dr. María Carlota González-Bedat is a member of the SUN, SLANH, and the ISN. She has been the Director of the Uruguayan Dialysis Registry since 2002, and the National Delegate to the Latin American Registry of Dialysis and Kidney Transplantation since 2001. She was president of the SUN for the period 2014-2016, vice president of Region 1, also General Secretary of the Board of Directors for the period 2019-2021, coordinator of several courses at SLANH, and member of the registration committee from 2007-2012. She is the founder and advisor of the Gender Committee in Nephrology since 2021 and the PAHO Temporary Advisor since 2016. She is member of the ISN SharE-RR team on behalf of SLANH since 2017 and represents the Latin America region as a member of the ISN Advocacy Working Group since 2021. She is the author of multiple indexed scientific publications, referring to the epidemiology of CKD, renal registries and advocacy, and female leadership tasks in the field.
