The Nephrology Society of Thailand (NST)

The Nephrology Society of Thailand (NST) was founded by Professor Dr. Chanyo Benjayati on June 17, 1974, with the vision to:

  • Promote knowledge of kidney disease for members and general physicians
  • Promote research on kidney disease
  • Promote and disseminate what is known about the prevention and treatment of kidney disease to the public
  • Promote unity among members
  • Make contacts and exchange knowledge and opinions with international kidney disease associations
  • Promote kidney disease knowledge to members and general physicians

At present, the Nephrology Society of Thailand has played an essential role in determining the direction of the National Kidney Disease Public Health Policy by working in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health and NHSO. In addition to being a professional association, society takes care of the quality of dialysis at hemodialysis centers across the country.

The Nephrology Society of Thailand participates actively in programs related to social responsibility and public health.
