ABOUT

The Frontiers Meeting “Complement-related kidney diseases: classification, genetics and treatment” is an International Society of Nephrology (ISN) event hosted by the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research.

The International Society of Nephrology (ISN) is a philanthropic organization dedicated to advancing worldwide kidney health. We bridge the gaps of available care through advocacy and collaborations with our global partners. We build capacity with healthcare professionals via granting programs, education and research. By connecting communities, we develop a stronger understanding of how to manage kidney diseases and engage in a collaborative effort to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment. The Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research is a non-profit organisation in the biomedical field. The Institute was founded in 1961 and has three main objectives: carrying out scientific research projects, training young graduates and engaging in scientific communication at all levels.
From patients to experimental models – at the cellular and molecular level – and back to patients, the Institute conducts research to improve people’s health and wellbeing. Researchers investigate the functional mechanisms of living organisms, the underlying causes of diseases, and the processes that take place in organisms in the presence of foreign substances. The Institute also evaluates the effectiveness of treatments and preventive measures, as well as of scientific public information campaigns. For more information, please click here
