In response to the continuing and evolving COVID-19 situation, WCN’22 offers you two ways to participate.

The safety and well-being of healthcare professionals and their patients are at the core of the ISN’s mission. In response to the continuing and evolving COVID-19 situation, WCN’22 plans include virtual and in-person elements.

WCN’22 – virtual program

The 2022 World Congress of Nephrology is hosted in a virtual format. All registered delegates will have access to the virtual pre-congress courses (additional fee applies) and sessions (February 21-24), congress plenaries, scientific sessions, networking events and a lot more (February 25-27). Full access remains available on-demand for three months after the congress. A personalized letter with information to access the WCN’22 virtual platform will be sent to you in the week prior to the start date of the congress. Further details on the virtual format are available here.

WCN’22 – supplementary in-person program

In-person meetings are authorized in Kuala Lumpur as of November 2021. To offer an opportunity for face-to-face interaction, the main virtual program is being supplemented by in-person activities (February 25-27), organized at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. At no additional registration fee, these supplementary activities include scientific sessions, scientific posters, a delegate reception, an industry exhibition and industry lunch symposia. The supplementary in-person activities will adhere fully to hygienic safety measures and procedures as mandated by local authorities and the venue. The supplementary in-person program is destined primarily for WCN’22 confirmed participants from Malaysia. For international participants, restrictions to enter Malaysia remain in place. Further details on the in-person supplementary program and participation are available here.

Restrictions for (international) travel or entry to Malaysia or Kuala Lumpur apply. Pease make sure to check the applicable conditions for your country.

IMPORTANT: Only fully vaccinated individuals are allowed to enter the congress venue. Furthermore, a Covid-19 saliva or RTK-Antigen test must be conducted prior to the event, physical distancing must be observed, and face masks must be always worn by all participants.

Only the ISN or its official representatives are authorized to provide services related to the 2022 World Congress of Nephrology. Please contact registrationswcn@theisn.org if you have any doubts or concerns.
