Donald Seldin Lecture
Professor Kazutoshi Mori is a distinguished professor at the Institute for Advanced Study at Kyoto University in Kyoto, Japan. He earned his Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences from Kyoto University in 1987, following his graduation in 1981. His academic and research career spans several decades, including appointments at Gifu Pharmaceutical University in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in the USA as a postdoctoral fellow, as well as key research leadership roles at the HSP Research Institute in Kyoto, Japan.
Professor Mori later served as an associate professor at Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Biostudies and as a professor of biophysics at its Graduate School of Science. Professor Mori’s work continues to advance the field of molecular and cellular biophysics.
Professor Mori is giving the Donald Seldin Lecture in WCN Opening Ceremony/Plenary Session 1 on March 28, 2026, from 2 p.m. Japan Time in the Main Hall. He will give the talk, ‘Dynamics of the function and regulation of the endoplasmic reticulum.’
