Mentorship Abstract Award: 1st Prize
ISN Mentorship Abstract Awards recognize the three top-scored WCN’26 abstracts submitted by recent ISN mentees after collaboration with their mentors in the ISN Mentorship Program.
Dr. Henry H.L. Wu is a clinician-scientist based at Royal North Shore Hospital and the Kolling Institute of Medical Research, at The University of Sydney, in Sydney, Australia. He has published widely in key journals with more than 120 peer-reviewed publications and regularly presents his research at major international nephrology conferences, including previous ISN World Congresses of Nephrology.
Dr. Wu has received various awards for his research, such as the U.K. National Institute of Health Research Academic Clinical Fellowship Award in Renal Medicine (2019) and the Northern Sydney Local Health District/Kolling Institute Discovery Science Researcher Award (2025). He is the associate editor of Nutrition and Health and editorial board member of BMC Nephrology, Frontiers in Medicine and PLoS One. In addition to his participation in the ISN Mentorship Program under Professor Rob Walker, he is an active member of the ISN-led cardio-kidney-metabolic roadmap project.
About the award, Dr. Wu states, “I am honored to receive the ISN Mentorship Abstract Award this year. I would like to thank all of my mentors who have supported my career to date, particularly Prof. Rob Walker who is my mentor in the ISN Mentorship Program. I would also like to thank the ISN for providing me with many opportunities to participate in nephrology research and network with colleagues at an international level.”
