Young Nephrologists Abstract Award: Best Basic Science

ISN Young Nephrologists Abstract Awards recognize the best WCN’26 abstracts submitted for basic science and clinical science as determined by the ISN Young Nephrologists Committee.

Masaya Muto is a researcher at the Central Research Laboratories of Sysmex Corporation in Kobe, Japan. He obtained his master’s degree in life science and technology from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2023. He is currently engaged in the development of diagnostic immunoassays for fully automated blood testing platforms, focusing on biomarker development for nephrotic syndrome. He is passionate about refining “seeds” from basic research into practical diagnostic reagents to support clinical needs and contribute to patient care.
