Professor Pierre Delanaye is a nephrologist at the University Hospital of Liège (CHU Sart Tilman), in Liège, Belgium. His daily practice is the care of hemodialysis patients. His clinical research interest is the estimation and measurement of glomerular filtration rate, the epidemiology of CKD and mineral bone disease in dialysis patients. In his research, he underlines the strong and necessary links between nephrology and clinical chemistry. He has published extensively on the epidemiology of CKD and on the evaluation of eGFR formulas.
