Dr. Mst. Shanjida Sharmim is a pediatric nephrologist and faculty member in the department of pediatric nephrology, at the Bangladesh Medical University, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She has worked as a dedicated pediatric nephrologist for 10 years and at the university for the last 6 years.
Dr. Sharmim completed her ISN fellowship on kidney replacement therapy (KRT) in 2023 under the mentorship of Professor Arpana Iyengar at St. John’s Medical College, in Bengaluru, India. Her work focuses on chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, nephrotic syndrome, renal tubular disease, and KRT where she applies evidence-based medicine to improve patients’ outcomes. As a proud member of ISN, she leverages a global network of professionals to stay at the forefront of kidney research and innovation.
