The ISN Best Abstract Awards are presented to the top three abstracts submitted by WCN’26 registrants as selected by the WCN Abstract Committee.

Dr. Simon Leclerc earned his medical degree from the University of Montreal, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 2016 and completed residencies in internal medicine and nephrology at the same institution. In 2021, he began a Ph.D. in experimental medicine at McGill University in Montreal, and was awarded a KRESCENT postdoctoral fellowship by the Kidney Foundation of Canada. His research focuses on podocyte-targeted autoimmunity in idiopathic podocytopathies. He has since joined the nephrology division at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital in Montreal, where he is establishing his research program and has joined the glomerular disease clinic.
