Program themes

This year’s program is organized around four core themes that are shaping the future of global kidney care.

  • Theme 1: Better Kidney Health for All

    Topics include preventive and environmental science, population health science, global kidney health, policy/advocacy, and transplantation access.

  • Theme 2: The Interconnected Kidney

    Explore the complexity of kidney relationships with other systems: Cardio-kidney metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, brain-kidney axis and pulmonary-kidney syndrome, multimorbidity, onconephrology, gut-kidney axis, kidney liver connect, complement dysregulation and transplantation as relevant.

  • Theme 3: Preserving Health in Kidney Disease

    Sessions cover dialysis, chronic kidney disease–mineral and bone disorder, anemia, interventional nephrology, rare kidney disease, transplantation, and glomerular diseases.

  • Theme 4: The Smart Kidney

    Dive into cutting-edge topics like genetics, precision medicine, machine learning/AI, complement dysregulation, basic science (omics), and large datasets.
