How did the ISN support enable you to advance kidney health in your home country?
The main achievements that I have managed to incorporate into my daily practice, in relation to what I learned in my fellowship year in Hospital 12 de Octubre in Madrid, has been the incorporation of a system of clinics (Lithiasis Clinic, Glomerulopathy Clinic, Predialysis Clinic) to care for kidney patients.
As the only Nephrologist in the Hospital to which I am currently assigned, I am proud of the organization of the work system that I have achieved in conjunction with my work team, both in the peritoneal dialysis unit and in the nephrology consultation.
What does the future look like?
I have started to prepare two protocols for a scientific research project, with patients from the predialysis clinic and patients who are already on dialysis, respectively.
In addition, I have some patients with interesting clinical presentations and evolution, so I have started preparing their presentation for scientific journals.
