Kidney Care Ambassadors

ISN Global Community

Kidney disease affects people from all walks of life. The ISN’s global kidney care ambassadors offer unique insights and perspectives through their experiences with kidney disease to highlight the importance of kidney health awareness. We have also included a variety of resources below to help individuals access resources in their own countries and learn more about their kidneys and kidney disease.

More Resources

Want to learn more about your kidneys, or if you are at risk of kidney disease, and what you can do to protect yourself? The tools below are the perfect starting point.

Living well with Kidney Disease (An educational e-book for kidney patients) 積極活好腎病(腎病教育電子書)

The International Association of Chinese Nephrologists (IACN) and the CUHK Carol & Richard Yu PD Research Centre have published the above educational book in Chinese through the Chinese University Press for kidney patients and the general public to provide information on how to live positively with chronic kidney disease (CKD), hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and kidney transplant.

We now have a free electronic version in both traditional and simplified Chinese for kidney patients who are Chinese speaking around the world. Find it here.

Created in 2021, the ISN’s Patient Liaison Advisory Group represents the inter-continental diversity of kidney patients with one representative from each of the society’s 10 regions. Its mission is to advise and guide the ISN so that the patient perspective becomes embedded within our work shaping health initiatives and research programmes so that they tackle the global burden of kidney disease.
