How did the ISN support enable you to advance kidney health in your home country?

My academic career path got a head start when I received an ISN fellowship training grant in 2011-2012. I am very lucky to have an excellent home and host mentors (Dr. Somchai and Dr. Jaber). I had a lot of research experiences and learned how to perform a good meta-analysis during my time in Boston as an ISN fellow. In my home country, I develop a meta-analysis training program for medical students, residents’ fellows, and faculties. I used meta-analysis learned from the ISN fellowship to advance nephrology research. Currently, I have more than 80 published papers with 2100 citations and H-index 20. In addition, I am also a proud member of the ISN-OSEA Regional Board.

What does the future look like?

I want to help prepare Thailand Nephrology Training Centers to become one of the regional training centers of ISN training program, promote the exchange fellowship between country and region, increase collaboration research of ISN fellowship and increase ISN membership in my home country.
