What difference did you make through your Sister Center partnership?
Every year, the Supporting Center staff visits the Emerging Center to do lectures and master-classes. Four young nephrologists from EC trained in the SC.
All nephrologists and nephropathologists from EC attended National and Regional Conferences, organized by the SC.
Regular on-line consultations take place about the most difficult cases during SRC partnership and until now.
We presented poster of the SRC experience during WCN 2017 in Mexico City.
The EC is actually the only Center in the Irkutsk Region, providing diagnostics and treatment of idiopathic glomerulonephritis, lupus nephritis, systemic vasculitidies, amyloidosis, and thrombotic microangiopathies. The most rewarding experience is the successful treatment of the patients with atypical HUS in the EC.
What does the future look like?
For the future, our Center in Moscow (Nephrology, City Hospital n.a. S.P. Botkin) recently applied for the ISN Regional Training Centers Program. If this application is approved, representatives from the Nephrology Center in Irkutsk will be able to come for extensive training course in Nephrology, Dialysis and Kidney Transplantation.
