The ISN actively advocates for kidney health to be recognized as a global health priority and fully integrated into the noncommunicable disease (NCD) agenda.
Through strong partnerships with global health organizations and advocacy networks, the ISN works to influence policies, engage decision-makers, and support evidence-based action to improve kidney health worldwide.
As a non-state actor (NSA) in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO), the ISN participates in World Health Assembly and Executive Board meetings, ensuring kidney health remains on the global agenda.
The ISN also advocates at the United Nations (UN) level, thanks to the special ECOSOC consultative status, contributing each year to the UN General Assembly (UNGA) and actively engaging in discussions that shape the global health and NCD agenda.
