ISN Africa Regional Board Webinar: Pregnancy-related, Community-acquired and Disaster-related AKI in Africa

  • 2:00 PM CEST

AKI is significantly under-diagnosis/under-reported in low-income countries. It imposes a heavy burden of morbidity and mortality and high costs of management.

With ISN’s focus on prevention and 0by25, and the 2023 World Kidney Day theme of “Kidney Health for All: Preparing for the Unexpected, Supporting the Vulnerable,” this webinar addresses special areas for targeting AKI prevention: AKI at the community level, where the majority of AKI occurs; disasters and their major impact on kidney health; and pregnancy-related AKI with potentially life-threatening consequences for mother and baby.

During this session, Prof Naicker and Dr Sokwala will respectively present on AKI prevention at the community level and disaster management. For the rest, make sure you view the recorded talk on pregnancy in advance. Rasha Samir (Egypt) and Boucar Diouf (Senegal) will answer any questions you may have on this matter during the live event.

There will be simultaneous interpretation. You will be able to follow this webinar in the language of your choice (French or English).
