Thanks to my ISN membership, I was blessed to gain knowledge and skills through many ISN programs like fellowship in complex transplants, courses in Clinical Nephro-pathology and Scientific Writing, and grant to Asia Pacific Conference in Nephrology. These inspired me to initiate both live and deceased donor kidney transplants in my rural centre of Badulla. So far, with my devoted team we have performed 20 successful kidney transplants. Hence, let me thank ISN for bringing essential renal services in countries like ours.
