MRAs in the Future of DKD Management
Clinical guidelines for the management of patients with diabetes and kidney disease have been recently revised, and evidence-based recommendations were published in 2020. Since then, there have been advances in the information regarding new treatments that add to the published recommendations. One of the main advances is based on results of the phase 3 trials with MRAs, which will be discussed in the initial webinars of this series. In this final webinar of the series, we will discuss the impact of the new data on the future management of diabetic patients with kidney disease, and the potential need for a revision of the guidelines from the perspectives of a multidisciplinary panel of experts.

- Review the current recommendations for the management of patients with DKD
- Discuss how the new results may affect the standard of care for cardio-renal management of diabetic patients with kidney disease

Latest Results on FIGARO/FIDELIO Studies
- The FIGARO-DKD study was presented during the Hot Line session on August 28 at ESC Congress 2021, and simultaneously published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Finerenone reduces the risk of cardiovascular and renal outcomes compared to placebo in patients with type 2 diabetes and mild-to-moderate kidney disease.
- Also presented during the Hotline session at ESC Congress 2021 were data from FIDELITY, a prespecified meta-analysis of more than 13,000 patients from the Phase III studies FIGARO-DKD and FIDELIO-DKD. The results demonstrated cardiovascular and renal benefits of finerenone in patients with CKD and T2D.

今後のDKD管理におけるMRAの役割
最近、糖尿病性腎臓病（DKD）患者の管理に関する臨床ガイドラインが改訂され、2020年にはエビデンスに基づく推奨事項が発表されています。それ以来、新たな治療法に関する情報が更新されており、既存の推奨事項に新たな事項が追加されています。主な更新の1つは、MRAを用いた第3相試験の結果に基づいています。これについては、本ウェビナーシリーズの第一回目にて考察を行います。本シリーズ最終回となる今回のウェビナーでは、新たなデータが今後の糖尿病性腎臓病患者の管理に与える影響や、今後の更なるガイドライン改訂の必要性について、専門家の学際的視点から考察します。

- FIGARO-DKD試験は、「2021年欧州心臓病学会会議（ESC Congress 2021）」の8月28日のホットラインセッションで発表され、また New England Journal of Medicine に掲載されました。Finerenone reduces the risk of cardiovascular and renal outcomes compared to placebo in patients with type 2 diabetes and mild-to-moderate kidney disease.
- また、2021年欧州心臓病学会会議のホットラインセッションでは、FIGARO-DKDとFIDELIO-DKDの第3相試験の患者（13,000名以上）の事前指定されたメタ分析として、FIDELITYのデータが発表されました。その結果、糖尿病（T2D）で慢性腎臓病（CKD）がある患者の心血管・腎臓病へのフィネレノンの有効性が示されました。
第2回目となる本ウェビナーシリーズでは、FIDELIOとFIGAROの各試験結果をご紹介し、これらの試験結果が今後の臨床に与える影響について考察します。是非、ご参加ください。
