Call for expressions of interest/nominations for
ISN i3C Working Group members
The ISN welcomes expressions of interest/nominations for the position of a member of the ISN International Consortium of Chronic Kidney Disease of unknown origin (CKDu) Collaborators (i3C) Working Group. The position will start at the World Congress of Nephrology 2026 (WCN’26).
About the ISN i3C Working Group
The purpose of the i3C Working Group is to facilitate global collaboration in, and to improve and share understanding of, CKDu. The i3C Working Group works under the umbrella of the ISN Research Working Group (RWG).
ISN i3C Working Group objectives:
- Build a global network: Connect diverse groups working on CKDu worldwide through the ISN Observatory on CKDu (ISN WHO Collaboration Plan Deliverable)
- Strategic planning: Develop a work plan for long term mission, and short term (annual) goals to advance understanding, research and awareness of CKDu.
- Program & Event development: Propose and plan activities and events within the ISN strategic objectives to address CKDu
- Advocacy & Awareness: Raise awareness of CKDu and its consequences with policy makers and health authorities.
- Resource: Explore potential budget opportunities for revenue generation/fund raising/grant applications to support the work.
- Prioritization: Focus on activities within budget and resource constraints.
The role
The roles and responsibilities of i3C Working Group members are to implement the aims listed above.
Selection criteria
- Demonstrated interest in ISN activities
- Must be experts or researchers in the CKDu area
- ISN member in good standing
- In particular, we welcome applicants:
- from the ISN regions of Africa, Eastern and Central Europe, the Middle East, NIS and Russia, North and East Asia, and Oceania and South East Asia (OSEA)
- from low-income and upper-middle-income countries
- Email accessible and able to regularly connect to conference calls
- Apply by 5 p.m. CEST on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
