Young Nephrologists Committee Deputy Chair
Call for expressions of interest and nominations

ISN is calling for expressions of interest and nominations for the position of Deputy Chair of the Young Nephrologists Committee (YNC). This call for expressions of interest and nominations is open to all ISN members in good standing and 41 years old or younger.

Deadline to apply extended to Friday, 30 October 2020

We will also be asking Regional Boards to recommend members from their region.

About YNC

In early 2007, the ISN created the YNC to help better engage its talented younger members in shaping the future of the ISN. The mission of the YNC is to evaluate and understand the needs of young physicians and scientists in order to develop education, research, professional development and leadership opportunities within the ISN tailored specifically to their needs. The YCN consists of a core group of members, representing the various geographic regions of the ISN. Within the YNC, members are allocated to one of four groups – membership, mentorship, communications or WCN – designed to promote and strengthen the activities of the YNC and its exposure among young nephrologists. Members are required to participate in regular calls throughout the year.

About the position

The Deputy Chair role is a volunteer position for a period of approximately 2 years (term starting at WCN’21 and ending at WCN’23). The Deputy Chair will assist the Chair (or deputize when she/he is not in attendance) and prepare to assume the Chair role at WCN’23. The Deputy Chair is expected to take a lead role in one of the YNC groups.

The position is not remunerated and only active ISN members in good standing are eligible.

ISN staff will provide operational support to the YNC. The YNC Deputy Chair is also supported by the ISN Executive Committee representative for strategic issues as required.
