ISN Webinar: Interventions for CKDu in Endemic Regions – Progress and Outcomes
- 3 PM CEST
This ISN i3C webinar, Interventions for CKDu in Endemic Regions: Progress and Outcomes, will showcase experiences from regions heavily affected by CKDu and examine the impact of interventions aimed at reducing disease burden. Speakers will discuss lessons learned from investigating pesticide-related risk factors in Aguascalientes, improving access to safe drinking water in endemic communities, and implementing workplace improvements to reduce occupational exposures. The session will highlight progress achieved, challenges encountered, and implications for future prevention strategies.
Learning objectives:
- Describe key interventions implemented in CKDu-endemic regions, including safe drinking water initiatives, workplace improvements, and environmental risk factor mitigation strategies.
- Evaluate the progress, outcomes, and challenges associated with implementing CKDu prevention and risk-reduction interventions in diverse regional settings.
- Identify lessons learned and best practices that can inform the design, adaptation, and scaling of interventions to reduce the burden of CKDu in affected communities.
