Expanding Utilization of Home Dialysis: Findings of the International Home Dialysis Roundtable

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought to the forefront the importance of access to home dialysis. In the fall of 2020, leading kidney care organizations came together as an “International Home Dialysis Roundtable” (IHDR)* to address strategies to increase access to and uptake of home dialysis, both peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis. The findings of the IHDR have been published in the article “Expanding Utilization of Home Dialysis: An Action Agenda From the First International Home Dialysis Roundtable.” This webinar will address the main findings of the IHDR, highlighting best practices and successful strategies for, as well as barriers to, home dialysis.

Learning objectives:

1. Provide an overview of the main findings of the IHDR.
2. Discuss the barriers to home dialysis.
3. Highlight best practice and strategies for home dialysis.
