ISN & IFKF-WKA Webinar: World Kidney Day 2021: Living well with kidney disease
With the Covid-19 pandemic presenting World Kidney Day 2021 with a unique set of opportunities and challenges, we are encouraging people to organize virtual activities as well as promoting the use of social media to raise awareness about effective symptom management, patient empowerment, and ultimately awareness about how to live well with kidney disease. Therefore, we put together this webinar which will be followed by a live chat as a unique, interactive opportunity to bring together the WKD community on World Kidney Day across the globe. Hopefully a truly worldwide virtually meet-up.
Learning objectives:
1. Increase education about and awareness of the important goal of patient empowerment and life participation.
2. Importance of promotion of early detection with prolonged course of wellness despite kidney disease, after effective secondary and tertiary prevention programs.
3. Increased awareness of the importance of preventive measures of CKD across populations, professionals, and policy makers.
