How Technology and Communication are Transforming Kidney Care: Read the Paper on eHealth in the BMJ

“Global Status of Infrastructure and Opportunities for eHealth: Implications for Kidney Care Delivery in Low Income and Lower-middle Income Countries” has been published in the BMJ.

Read the paper here.

The paper describes the status of eHealth services and infrastructures across the ten ISN regions, using data from the World Health Organization’s (WHO) third global survey on eHealth.

The study shows that the diffusion of eHealth services across ISN regions is suboptimal, particularly in low-income countries. However, changing trends in internet communication technologies and the high percentage of people living within reach of a mobile-cellular signal present opportunities to improve access to kidney education and care globally, especially in low-income countries are available.
