“A Unique Experience With Involvement That Extends Far Beyond the Official Duration of the Program”: ELP Cohort 1 in Kidney International Reports®

Nurturing Global Leadership, Advocacy, Research, and Collegiality: The Unique Experience of the International Society of Nephrology Emerging Leaders Program,” by the first ISN Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) cohort, presents a collective account of the program’s activities and the skills and lessons learned from participating.

The ELP members state that the most valuable impact of the program was the widening of their perspectives from working with a diverse group of professionals who exposed them to different healthcare systems, skill sets, and cultural specificities. The collaboration also led them to recognize universal barriers to sustainable kidney care.

The authors described their program time as “A unique experience with involvement that extends far beyond the official duration,” concluding, “We have managed to build a unique network of like-minded professionals tightly bound by the same passion for self-development and change.”

The deadline to apply to the ELP is September 30, 2023 – apply here.

The ELP is supported by unrestricted educational grants by Janssen, Boehringer Ingelheim & Lilly, AstraZeneca, and Novartis.
