- 2 PM CET
This webinar will explore how the 2026 World Kidney Day theme, “Kidney Health for All: Caring for People, Protecting the Planet”, can be put into practice. Participants will gain practical tools to advance equitable, resilient, and environmentally responsible kidney care.
Learning objectives:
- Analyze how environmental and climate-related factors influence kidney disease risk and progression and outline actionable steps for clinicians and health systems to mitigate these impacts.
- Describe the limitations of the current global kidney care model and explain why a shift toward prevention, early detection, and patient-centered strategies is essential for both human and planetary health.
- Identify and discuss key strategies to reduce the environmental footprint of dialysis and kidney care.
- Propose stakeholder-driven approaches, including public engagement, advocacy, and intersectoral collaboration, to accelerate the global transition toward sustainable, equitable, and resilient kidney care.
