Healing in Harmony: Moving story of the Aurenis Choir wins ISN Community Film Award
The winning film* of the ISN Community Film Event, “Aurenis Choir: A Song of Hope” is a moving story from Argentina that reminds us that kidney care is not only about medicine, but also about connection, creativity, and hope.
The Aurenis Choir was founded on World Kidney Day 2024 with the aim of creating a space for community, art, and meaning alongside traditional medical kidney care.
Every week, patients, healthcare professionals, and community members transform a clinical setting into a place of encounter and expression, where music helps address the emotional and social challenges of living with kidney disease. As one participant puts it, “When I’m in the choir, I don’t feel like a sick person!”
Through stories like this, the ISN Community Film Event highlights the lived experience of kidney disease and the many ways communities around the world support people affected by it.
