For 2026 recipient Sherzod Abdullaev from Uzbekistan, the bursary supported his attendance at the WCN’26 Renal Pathology Course in Japan. “The integration of pathology with clinical findings helped me better understand how to apply knowledge in real patient management,” he noted, adding, “This experience has increased my confidence in managing renal cases and will positively impact my daily practice and contribution to multidisciplinary discussions and knowledge sharing within my institution.”

Could an ISN Renal Pathology Bursary support the next step in your professional development?

Bursaries are available to eligible ISN members under 45 from low-, lower-middle-, and upper-middle-income countries who have fundamental knowledge of renal pathology and are involved in, or have the opportunity to become involved in, the diagnostic evaluation of renal biopsy specimens at their home institution.

A bursary may contribute toward travel and accommodation costs for the selected renal pathology events in 2027.

Build your renal pathology expertise and bring new skills back to your home institution: Apply for an ISN Renal Pathology Bursary by September 20.
