Meeting the global demand for interventional nephrology: Announcing 10 new ISN Interventional Nephrology Training Centers
ISN Interventional Nephrology Training Centers (INTCs) are a growing network of institutions providing essential hands-on training in procedures such as central venous and peritoneal dialysis catheter insertion, helping nephrologists to provide better care for dialysis patients in low- and middle-income countries.
The ISN is pleased to announce the approval of 10 new INTCs:
- Greece: Attikon University Hospital of Athens
- Mexico: Hospital Civil De Guadalajara Fray Antonio Alcalde
- Malaysia: Hospital Kuala Lumpur
- Saudi Arabia: King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre
- Morocco: Mohammed V Military Instruction Hospital
- Peru: Nacional Dos De Mayo
- Spain: Puerta Del Mar University Hospital
- Thailand: TRINITY Center, Tri-Hospital Renal Interventional Network in Thailand for Youth University
- Martinique (France): Mangot-Vulcin Hospital, University Hospital of Martinique
- Italy: University of Bari Aldo Moro
Through these centers, the ISN supports Interventional Nephrology Scholarships, funding young nephrologists to gain practical skills in interventional procedures. Graduated scholars can receive additional guidance through the ISN Educational Ambassadors Program to help establish and maintain best practices locally.
