Developing Kidney Transplant Programs Worldwide: New Partnerships and Upgrades in the ISN-TTS Sister Transplant Centers Program

The ISN and The Transplantation Society (TTS) are pleased to announce that four newly formed partnerships have been accepted into the joint ISN-TTS Sister Transplant Centers (STC) Program.

In addition, one partnership has successfully upgraded to Level A and four partnerships to Level B.

One partnership has successfully graduated. The Southern Philippines Medical Center Kidney Transplant Unit in the Philippines (emerging center) and the University of Barcelona in Spain (supporting center) have achieved considerable success in their collaboration over the last seven years. You can read about a successful webinar series the pair held during COVID-19 restrictions here.

Find out more about these new and ongoing partnerships here or explore the map of current ISN-TTS STC partnerships.

The program is a joint initiative between the ISN and TTS to help establish new kidney transplant centers and develop existing kidney transplant programs in emerging countries.

ISN STC-TTS partnerships are established and upgraded based on the emerging center’s kidney transplant needs and the potential to develop kidney transplant capacity in the region.

The ISN and TTS warmly congratulate the upgraded and graduated centers on all they have accomplished and wish the newly-formed partnerships every success as they advance through the program.
