From Neglected NCD to Priority Issue: Accelerating Action on Kidney Disease – ISN at the 76th WHA
The ISN, in partnership with Devex, will host its first stand-alone event in Geneva on May 24, 2023, from 9:30 – 10:30 am CET to coincide with the 76th World Health Assembly.
The event will raise the profile of kidney disease as a global health priority, draw attention to its financial burden, and help policymakers recognize the importance of kidney disease as a global safety concern.
Focus will also be given to:
- The need for increased prevention efforts and research investment, particularly for rare kidney diseases with limited treatment options
- The threat of climate change on the prevalence of kidney diseases
