“It Deals With Most Things We Never Learned In School”: Hear How the ISN Emerging Leaders Program Benefited Cohort Member Robert Kalyesubula and Get Inspired to Apply

Robert Kalyesubula (Uganda) applied for the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) because he wanted to learn how to be a better leader and advocate for kidney health from leaders he admired.

Find out all the ways the ELP has benefited Dr. Kalyesubula in this short video.

Dr. Kalyesubula was accepted to the first cohort of the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP). He comments, “It deals with most of the things that we never learned…in school, particularly…advocacy. At the end of the day, we are always thinking about our patients, but if we don’t have the resources to take care of them, if we don’t have the skills to approach the leaders who have the resources, then it gets very difficult. With the ELP, you have a community that is ready to support you, you have people who have been there, and you have your peers to work with.”

Apply today to become tomorrow’s leaders! Apply here by September 30, 2023.

The ELP is supported by unrestricted educational grants by Janssen, Boehringer Ingelheim & Lilly, AstraZeneca, and Novartis.
