ISN Collective-member network expands to Fiji
The ISN is pleased to welcome the Nephrology Society of Fiji as its newest ISN Collective-member society, expanding a global network that helps kidney societies increase visibility, engage with the wider ISN community, and access member benefits.
The new membership strengthens efforts to advance kidney care across the ISN Oceania and South East Asia region, including a recently formalized “5-Year Strategic Plan for Nephrology Capacity Building in Pacific Island Countries.” Supported by the ISN and developed in collaboration with the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nephrology Pacific Working Group on behalf of the Pacific region, the Nephrology Society of Fiji is among the regional partners involved in the initiative.
Although Fiji has a relatively small population, kidney disease has a significant impact on the country. The Nephrology Society of Fiji comprises nephrologists, other specialists, and allied health professionals, reflecting the multidisciplinary effort needed to improve kidney disease prevention, diagnosis, and care.
The society joined following its participation in the ISN Affiliated Societies Meeting at WCN’26 in Japan, where representatives had the opportunity to learn more about the collective-member model and the benefits of closer engagement with the ISN.
With 37 collective-member societies now part of the network, the ISN continues to strengthen collaboration across the global kidney care community.
