Indian Society of Nephrology sponsors ISN Programs

We are pleased to announce that the Indian Society of Nephrology (INDSN) has agreed to co-sponsor a number of ISN Educational Ambassadors, ISN Fellowships and ISN Sister Renal Center Programs until 2016.

The agreement was recently signed and will offer more opportunities for applicants to get involved in these global outreach programs.

INDSN counts 1,200 nephrologists as members. Approximately 400 nephrologists in India are members of ISN. INDSN’s ultimate goal is to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment of kidney diseases in India and to do so it is strongly committed to advance education to nephrologists and other related medical fields.

The ISN has recently established a Regional Board for South Asia offering the INDSN a further opportunity to work more closely with ISN members in the other countries in the region: Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan.

ISN and INDSN now intend to develop a joint partnership to express their mutual commitment to the advancement of nephrology in India and South Asia.  The partnership recognizes the growing strength of nephrology in India which gives it the opportunity to provide leadership and education in nephrology, both within India and for other South Asian countries.
