2012 Impact Factor for Kidney International

The 2012 Impact Factors have just been released and the ISN is happy and proud to announce, that Kidney International (KI) has taken a leap forward from an impact factor of 6.606 in 2011 to a new all-time high of 7.916 in 2012.

KI thereby strengthened its position amongst the two top nephrology journals publishing original clinical and basic research. This is a remarkable achievement, which is due to the strict editorial policy instituted by Qais Al-Awqati as the previous editor and continued by the current editor in chief Detlef Schlöndorff, along with his entire editorial team.

By publishing the highest quality original papers dealing with clinical investigation and basic research, together with insightful commentaries and reviews on all aspects of nephrology, including transplant, each issue of KI contains pertinent and state of the art information for both the practicing nephrologist and the renal academic community. Clearly KI continues its course of up, up and away.
