ISN President Elect David Harris joins ISNCON 2016
ISN President Elect David Harris took part in the inauguration ceremony at the last edition of ISNCON 2016 in December. ISNCON is organized by the Indian Society of Nephrology, one of the International Society of Nephrology’s many Affiliated Societies that help advance nephrology around the world.
Since 1991, it has continuously provided a platform for scientific exchange among professionals in the country interested in nephrology and its related diseases. In the early years, meetings were held along with the Association of Physicians of India. In 1991, the first independent Annual ISNCON took place in Jaipur.
The Indian Society of Nephrology currently has over 950 members. The vast majority are nephrologists, but there is increased representation from other specialist areas such as transplant surgeons, pathologists and basic scientists who help widen the base of the society.
